We started by taking her to the Ikea birthday party at the beginning of the month. They got their faces painted and Joshua got to be the magician's assistant during the magic show. They got free dinner, birthday cake, and Hannah got a gift (a tote bag with a book inside). Thankfully, Eli was old enough to enjoy it this year. :)
Next, Hannah chose to go to Kidventures for her family birthday activity. They spent the whole day there and had a blast.
Finally, the day of her birthday was also the day of the China Bridge Competition, a Mandarin proficiency competition for K-12 students. Joshie was recommended to participate so we left Eli with friends (thankfully!!!!) and spent most of the day with Hannah watching the competition. We were so proud of him, it has been difficult at times to get him to practice but it paid off and he did the best he's ever done with his dance and speech. None of the kindergartners won the major awards but I think he was the best one. :)
